Through hands-on content creation and campaign work, you will build your portfolio, strengthen your marketing experience, and contribute to programs that support local families. Interns will assist with creating and managing content across platforms, promoting programs through email and web channels, developing a consistent content schedule, and helping design a campaign for our PA PreK Counts program. This opportunity is a traditional Part-Time Summer Internship

Logistics:

• Hybrid Internship in Blakely, PA
• Summer 2026 June 8^th-Aug 28^th (opportunity for earlier start)
• 20-25 hours/business week
• $12.50/hour
• This is a hybrid opportunity (50% on site/50% remote)

Qualifications:

Looking for Completed Coursework In:

• Marketing Principles / Introduction to Marketing
• Digital Marketing or Social Media Marketing
• Advertising or Integrated Marketing Communications
• Graphic Design or Visual Communication

Relevant Experience (Preferred but not always required)

• Experience managing or contributing to social media accounts (personal, academic, or professional)
• Basic content creation (graphics, captions, short-form video, etc.)
• Familiarity with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Later)
• Exposure to digital marketing campaigns (email marketing, ads, SEO, etc.)
• Experience using design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
• Basic understanding of analytics (engagement, reach, conversions)
• Previous internship, volunteer work, or campus involvement in marketing/communications

Projects:

Gaining an understanding of how a marketing plan benefits small business, the intern will contribute to the development of our social media marketing plan and learn key components of the plan:

• Research trends and additional platform use in industry, and past analytics of business.
• Using available technology, compile quarterly library of content pieces, including graphics, photos and post content.
• Develop posting calendar and tracking doc for analytics.
• Develop digital marketing campaign and track effectiveness
• Collaborate with team and provide future recommendations based on above results.

Requirement:

Students interested in participating in the Small Business Internship Fund must meet at least one of the following requirements:

• Be a resident of Lackawanna County currently enrolled in a college or university.
• Be a student currently enrolled in a Lackawanna County college or university.
• Be a student enrolled at a Chamber member college or university.
• Be a 2025/6 college graduate and a resident of Lackawanna County.
