About GKS

GKS is a software platform that helps pharmaceutical and life sciences companies stay on top of government regulations and compliance requirements. Think of us as a smart tool that tracks FDA inspections, flags risks, and helps companies prepare before problems arise. Our clients include some of the biggest names in pharma, and we’re growing fast.

Role Overview

As a Business Operations Intern at GKS, you’ll play a key role in keeping the business running smoothly behind the scenes by supporting the sales process, helping onboard new customers, organizing data, and documenting how we operate so we can scale. If you enjoy solving problems, staying organized, and improving how systems work, this role is for you. You’ll receive structured training in your first few weeks to learn our tools, workflows, and how the business operates, then work directly with the COO, who will provide hands-on mentorship and regular check-ins throughout the summer. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real exposure to how a startup functions, from sales and customer management to process building and data analysis, while developing practical skills in CRM management, reporting, and workflow design, and leaving with a clear understanding of how all the pieces of a business fit together.

What You’ll Do

Sales Support

  • Keep our CRM (HubSpot) up to date by logging contacts, tracking deals, and scheduling follow-ups
  • Help prepare for sales meetings and document action items afterward
  • Pull together weekly pipeline reports so leadership can see where things stand

Customer Onboarding

  • Help welcome new customers by coordinating account setup, scheduling kickoff calls, and sharing resources
  • Track onboarding progress and flag anything that’s falling behind
  • Help create guides and FAQs that make the onboarding experience smoother

Data & Reporting

  • Organize and maintain operational data across Google Sheets and Notion
  • Build simple dashboards and trackers so the team can monitor key numbers
  • Run ad hoc analyses when the COO needs a quick answer on things like customer trends or sales performance

Process Documentation

  • Write up step-by-step instructions (SOPs) for recurring tasks so anyone can follow them
  • Identify spots where our current processes are slow or confusing and suggest fixes
  • Keep our internal knowledge base in Notion organized and up to date

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Operations Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Detail-oriented and organized, you like making things neat and efficient
  • Comfortable with Google Sheets and willing to learn HubSpot and Notion
  • Good communicator, both written and verbal
  • Able to work independently and figure things out in a startup environment
  • Interest in tech, SaaS, or healthcare is a plus but not required
