About GKS

GKS is a software platform that helps pharmaceutical and life sciences companies stay on top of government regulations and compliance requirements. Think of us as a smart tool that tracks FDA inspections, flags risks, and helps companies prepare before problems arise. Our clients include some of the biggest names in pharma, and we’re growing fast.

Role Overview

As a Regulatory Data Intern at GKS, you’ll play a critical role in building and maintaining the data that powers our platform by entering, organizing, and quality checking regulatory information from sources like FDA inspection records and compliance documents. If you have strong attention to detail and enjoy working with structured information, this role is for you. No prior experience with regulatory data is needed, as you’ll receive structured training on our platform, data standards, and the types of records you’ll be working with, while collaborating with another Data Intern and receiving ongoing mentorship from the COO. This is a hands-on opportunity to see how data directly drives a real software product, develop valuable skills in data quality and accuracy, gain exposure to the regulated pharmaceutical industry, and experience startup life with direct access to leadership and the chance to see your work make an immediate impact.

What You’ll Do

Data Entry

  • Enter regulatory and compliance information into the GKS platform from provided source materials
  • Follow standardized formatting and classification guidelines to keep data consistent
  • Meet daily and weekly data entry targets while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Flag any confusing or unclear source materials to the COO rather than guessing

Quality Assurance & Data Cleaning

  • Review your own and your teammate’s entries for errors, duplicates, and formatting issues
  • Cross-check entries against original source documents to make sure everything matches
  • Keep a simple log of errors found and corrections made so we can spot patterns
  • Periodically audit older records to make sure the database stays clean over time

Organization & Communication

  • Track your daily progress in shared trackers (Google Sheets or Notion)
  • Help improve data entry guides and reference documents based on what you learn
  • Share ideas for making the data entry process faster or less error-prone

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a degree in any field, life sciences, data science, information systems, or public health are a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, you catch mistakes others might miss
  • Comfortable with repetitive, focused work and able to stay accurate over long stretches
  • Familiar with Google Sheets and able to learn new software quickly
  • Reliable, punctual, and good at managing your time
  • Familiarity with FDA or pharmaceutical data is helpful but not required, we’ll train you
